Access to this remote part of Aschworth high country farm starts just 20 mins from Blenheim and 10 minutes from Blenheim Airport. Private luxury wool insulated hunting tents, a gourmet meal and a cold beverage await you after a spectacular day walking the first of three exceptional hikes in one of New Zealand’s most outstanding natural landscapes.

3 UNIQUE WALKS —
Unapparelled views
Three days of unique walks over Aschworth’s 6000 acre Merino Farm in Marlborough.
DAY 1 takes in some outstanding views over Marlborough to the Richmond Ranges, you also get some beautiful views into the Waihopai Valley and beyond.
DAY 2 is a special one, you are able to Summit Wards Peak today - a tickable peak in our area, you also traverse through some stunning native bush and can take a dip in one of the many swimming holes to cool off.
DAY 3, brings you back to the homestead through the middle of our farm, looking over into the Brancott catchment and up to a trig with even more stunning views

2 NIGHTS —
Luxurious glamping stay
Indulge in the epitome of luxury camping at our exquisitely designed & styled hunting tents, nestled on our sprawling high country station.
Luxury wool topped beds, wool insulated tents, beautiful linens (no sleeping bags here!), woolen blankets and all the trimmings to keep you comfortable and warm.
The tents are designed off an old deer stalkers tent which were used in the 1920’s, modified for your comfort and insulated with wool, on a wooden floor - true camping luxury!
Relax with friends and fellow walkers in our beautiful communal space, relaxing lounge, gas fireplace, and dining. Full modern bathroom facilities with local toiletries provided.

The walk is fully catered by local Marlborough company Karaka Catering. Where possible produce sourced from Marlborough is always used.
We provide everything you need to be well nourished during your stay with us.
We also cater for all dietary requirements, please make sure you let us know on the booking form.
We pride ourselves on looking after you and creating a memorable experience, this includes the food we offer, delivered fresh daily.

We aim to provide as much for you as possible, we have a selection of walking sticks for use, walking sticks are compulsory on our track and you’ll thank us as you navigate some of the steeper parts of the track.

It may come as no surprise but as Merino Farmers we are extremely passionate about wool and its wide range of uses.
Staying at Aschworth you will be treated to Luxury wool topped beds, wool insulated tents, beautiful linens (no sleeping bags here!), woolen blankets and all the trimmings to keep you comfortable and warm.
Communal Space
Our communal building offers all the luxuries of a rural hunting lodge - a place to gather, eat, cook and relax. A gas fireplace to warm up if required and outdoor dining/relaxing options.
Bathroom facilities are located in this building, offering modern and well-designed functional spaces

We pride ourselves in making sure you are well nourished for your High Country Adventure at Aschworth, from gourmet breakfasts, morning tea and snacks through to a nutritious packed lunch and afternoon tea and of course dinner and dessert - we have you covered.
We have worked on our menus with local Marlborough catering company Karaka Catering to provide an outstanding high country menu experience for your three days with us.
Produce supplied from the Marlborough region where possible - we hope you enjoy!
Food, Food, Food
BREAKFAST - you can choose what takes your fancy, from chia pots, pancakes and breakfast cakes to eggs on toast or continental breakfast - everything is supplied for you, just serve yourself to fuel your body for the day.
MORNING TEA - on day one is served in the homestead pre departure and packed on days two and three.
LUNCH - You will take a gourmet pre-packed lunch on days one and two and be served a light homestead lunch before departure on day three. Lunch boxes are provided.
AFTERNOON TEA - is platter style and will be available at the glamping site on your return from your days walking.
DINNER - Your evening meals (including delicious desserts!) will be delivered to the glamping site and 90% of the work is already done for you - there will be instructions for how to finish off the meal for the group - don’t stress, minimal input is required, heating up a dish, finishing something off on the BBQ, dressing a salad, something along those lines, before you sit down to enjoy dinner in the peaceful surroundings.
Fresh fruit and other snacks will also be available.
Beverages
Please BYO alcoholic beverages and other refreshments. We will transport these for you to your accommodation and chill where required.
Ice will be available.
Fresh juices are supplied each day as part of your lunch packs.
A wide range of teas, hot chocolate and locally ground coffee are also

We are happy to cater for your dietary requirements and requests wherever possible, please ensure these are detailed on your booking form.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us, we will do very best to help and make you as comfortable as possible during your walk and stay with us.
For any changes leading up to your walk, please notify us with at least 7days notice.

Day bag/pack – large enough to carry your water, lunch and a jacket
Drink bottle or bladder for your day pack (at least 2-3L is recommended)
Refreshments – alcoholic & non-alcoholic, we will transfer & chill these for you
Walking boots/ trail shoes (you will need good tread)
Gators or Boot protectors if you have them – handy for keeping grass seeds and other things out of your shoes

Walking sticks – options of walking poles or traditional manuka poles – we do encourage everyone to walk with a pole of some sort
Sheets and bedding are all provided – our lovely wool topped beds with beautiful linen and woolen blankets will keep you warm and comfortable. Towels – facecloths and all towels are provided as well as Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash
Transfer of your bags to and from the glamping site.
