The Farmers - Aschworth
Back in December 2020 George & Sarah Murray with their two sons Hank & Walter purchased Aschworth and moved to Marlborough, diving headfirst into a new farming venture together. George with a background in Farming and a Helicopter Pilot and Sarah with a background in Tourism and Marketing. Willing to get their hands dirty and pitch into anything that needs to be done around the place, many ideas for different ventures were voiced and after many ‘good’ ideas were nutted out - eventually Aschworth High Country Station - Luxury Walk & Stay was launched.
George is the driving force behind the farming operation and Sarah anything accounts and walking track related. Their sons Hank & Walter are full of energy and immerse themselves in daily farm life, they love to help out when they are not at school.

Track extraordinaire and jack of all trades! Mondo is the master of our track work, finding the best paths to take, mapping the track and finding some special spots along the way that we can share with you.
Mondo could be found doing track maintenance, hosting you on your arrival at Aschworth or changing the beds - we did say jack of all trades!

NEW ZEALAND MERINO CLOTHING
Aschworth is a working merino farm, we are proud to contract our merino wool to Devold New Zealand, they use sustainably sourced merino - from sheep to shop, every garment comes with a tag showing the New Zealand farm from which the wool originated.
We offer Devold products for sale in our farm shop.
